South Staffordshire College require a Business Development Associate to join the Apprenticeship and Employer Engagement Team. We support businesses of all sizes to engage with and invest in emerging talent.

We are looking for a professional, organised, and confident person to join our growing Apprenticeship and Employer Engagement Team department and to have an active role in the delivery of our ESIF funded project. The successful applicant will liaise directly with new and existing employers to maintain and further development employment opportunities for learners. They will be provide key account management for existing employers and generate new business to achieve individual and team targets.

A strong sales background and experience working within a further education setting is essential. Familiarity of ESIF funding guidelines and the new apprenticeship reforms would be an advantage.

You will work efficiently and effectively towards individual and team performance targets in line with the business expectations. You will be interacting with employers and prospective learners, and will be required to use various methods including face-to-face meetings, events, social media and telesales to target potential employers and promote the full college offer.

Applicants will hold a full, clean driving license as travel to different campuses, events and employer visits is essential.

South Staffordshire College is a further education college founded in 2009 as the result of a merger between four local colleges. It now has four campuses located in Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock Chase and Rodbaston. Alongside its further education offering, South Staffordshire College provides some higher education courses in conjunction with local universities. 

South Staffordshire College's courses are supported by a wide array of facilities, including beauty salons, an art gallery, restaurants and high-quality workshops. It caters for students aged 14 and older.
