Monday to Friday 08.00 - 17.00 based in LHPA Upper School, Station Road, Langley, Slough, Berkshire SL3 8GW

Working 52 weeks per year and 5 weeks holiday per annum

Role & Reponsibility – Business Development Mgr 

1. Manage the overall Marketing activities of the school.

2. Being creative, using media & tools/resources to monitor trends & create advertisements/promotion of the school regarding updates/activities & achievements in a positive light.

2. To ensure that all communication in all mediums that goes out from the school is clear, effective and of high quality.

3. To Manage the overall marketing activities of the school & recognising development opportunities to improve & or automate

4. Manage donations received by the school 

Role & Responsibility – Club Co-ordinator

1. To ensure that all administration activities and tasks meet given deadlines and are performed effectively.

2. To reflect on the effectiveness of all tasks and activities and make adaptions and changes to procedures where necessary.

3. To provide a service to pass on to the appropriate person all enquiries from visitors, parents, children and staff.

4. To manage and administer the extended day & year clubs and associated registers.

5. To carry out typing for Executive Head and/or Head of School.

6. To access the school intranet on a daily basis, keeping up to date with policy and procedure changes and reading school news.

7. To report any Health & Safety or Safeguarding issues that may be of concern.

8. Any others duties as directed by the Executive Head, Head of School or Line Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities – PA Duties

1. Act as a first point of contact within the school for staff, governors, councillors, parents and others seeking contact with the Executive Head. To undertake all administrative duties in accordance with this.

2. Filter urgent emails, highlight urgent correspondence and print attachments. Prepare nonstandard replies and responses for signature.

3. Organise inbound emails into the appropriate folders and any relevant information to be copied into the correct file on the hard drive.

4. To assist the Executive Head in organising her administrative workload recommending items to be dealt with in order of priority. Ensure that the Executive Head responds to particular approaches within timescales identified in any agreed priority action list.

5. Maintain the diary for the Executive Head, arranging appointments as appropriate, and ensuring that he/she is adequately briefed on matters to be discussed.

6. Maintain the school calendar, gaining approval for including new entries and amend existing entries.

7. Make travel arrangements for the Executive Head and to provide care for her visitors, including the provision of refreshments.

8. Assemble and prepare papers required by the Executive Head to attend meetings, prepare reports, or reply to requests for information.

9. Handle all confidential correspondence with discretion. 

10. Manage school priorities and deadlines, liaising and advising senior managers where necessary including the management of the schedule of school’s policies and procedures in line   with local and national guidance. This includes identifying and managing the timely presentation of policies to the governing body for ratification.

11.Attend all whole school meetings as directed, providing administrative duties accordingly.

12. Ensure the maintenance of clear and effective filing, records and other systems and to keep them updated, this includes maintaining of the Executive Head’s filing system.

13. Arrange meetings and when required, take note, provide minutes if required. Ensure that matters arising from meetings are dealt with by the appropriate people within agreed timescales.

14. Sort and prioritise all incoming post addressed to the Executive Head or identified as being for them, deal with telephone calls for the Executive Head. Keep a log of mail received and how it has been dealt with.

15.After discussion, draft, as appropriate, outgoing correspondence and school documents that are the direct responsibility of the Headteacher.

16.Support the Executive Head and other senior managers in the organisation and detailed planning of special events such as awards evenings, open evenings and certificate evenings, etc.

17.Undertake all matters relating to the exclusion of students.

18.To provide administrative support for the Governing Body.

19.To keep an up to date schedule of school policies, managing reviews, changes locally and nationally including ratification by the Governing Body.

20.To produce reports for the Governing Body as instructed by the Executive Head.

21. Foster links between the school and the local community.

22.Carry out research for the Executive Head/ senior management as required on the internet.

23.Organise workload and prioritise on a daily basis using own initiative and knowledge of the work, with minimum direct supervision from the Executive Head.

24.Work as part of the front office team, ensuring parents, carers and visitors receive a first rate service and welcome.

25.Work collaboratively across departments with colleagues and students to ensure the school operates as effectively as possible to achieve its aims.

26.Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regard to issues concerning members of staff and pupils. Respond positively with tact, sensitivity and awareness to pupils and parents in relation to duties undertaken.

27.Communicate with the LA, outside agencies, parents and the local community and to make contact with any other individuals who have business with the school.

28.Undertake reasonable additional tasks within the character of the post or level of responsibility entailed as required to support the needs of the school
