We are seeking an experienced and passionate Business Management and Economics Teacher for our IB Diploma Programme (DP). Employment Type:  Full-time


We are looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable teacher to join our IB DP faculty as a Business Management and Economics Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the IB curriculum and be capable of delivering engaging and challenging lessons in Business Management and Economics. This role will involve instructing students in critical concepts, facilitating discussions, and guiding them through coursework and assessments.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Teaching and Curriculum Delivery: Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in Business Management and Economics, adhering to the IB DP curriculum.


  1. Student Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.


  1. IB Programme Support: Actively participate in the development and enhancement of the IB DP curriculum, including unit planning and resource creation.


  1. Individualised Support: Provide academic and career counseling to students pursuing Business Management and Economics.


  1. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-curricular opportunities and encourage a holistic approach to education.


  1. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and discussion.


  1. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with educational best practices and IB program requirements.


  1. Extracurricular Involvement: Encourage student involvement in related extracurricular activities and competitions.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Teaching certification and qualification to teach IB Diploma Programme (DP) courses.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching Business Management and Economics at the DP level.
  • Deep knowledge of the IB DP curriculum, assessment, and educational philosophy.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A student-centered teaching approach, fostering critical thinking and independent learning.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of IB DP students.
  • Commitment to professional growth and keeping up-to-date with curriculum and pedagogical changes.
