The Flagship School Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and qualified professional to be the Business Manager of a new Free School in Hastings.

Are you ready for the next step in your career? Are you ready for the exciting challenge of setting up an innovative new school in Hastings?

As the lead finance professional, you will work closely with the Principal, other members of the school leadership team and Governing Body to ensure that all financial, HR and operational aspects of business management can effectively deliver a sustainable new school. 

The school has been founded by a group of committed parents/carers and professionals, working collaboratively together to develop an exciting and innovative special school in Hastings for children with neuro-diverse profiles and social emotional and mental health needs.

You will be responsible to the Principal and Governing Body.

You will be responsible for the School Office and Site Staff.

You will work mostly from home until school premises are opened in September 2021. I

The successful candidate will:

  • hold a professional qualification in Business Management or Accountancy.
  • have experience of working in or setting up an Academy Trust. 
  • be excited and ready for the challenge of setting up a new school

The school will open in September 2021 for 24 students rising to 72 when full. The school will be on the Ridge in Hastings. It will be a new build. Our ambition is to be a pioneering school, drawing on best practice and emerging evidence from psychology, science and educational research to provide an inspiring, integrated and aspirational education for our children.
