Business Manager

Set in beautiful, rural surroundings, St Margaret’s is a thriving and highly regarded 2-11 preparatory day school in north Essex. Non selective and with excellent academic outcomes, the School is seeking a Business Manager to join our experienced and dedicated team. 

Operating as a key member of the Leadership Team, this role is primarily responsible for supporting the Head to grow the school and deliver and improve the financial and commercial aspects of the school’s business agenda. 

With responsibility for the Site Team and  the third party contractor catering and cleaning arrangements, the Business Manager must ensure compliant and up-to-date contracts are in place with parents, manage and supervise some non-teaching staff; and oversee the development and maintenance of facilities. The role is very much focused on resourcing, processes and efficiency as these are key areas to support the school.

Working 32 hours per week, over five days, the successful applicant will have the talent, enthusiasm, energy and experience to help lead the school as it continues to grow and demonstrate the flexibility and commitment that is the hallmark of St Margaret’s staff.
