Our mission is to provide our community with the opportunity to develop through learning and this position has been created to support the college unemployment team to provide opportunities and support for unemployed people within our community.

We have an opportunity to work in the apprenticeship recruitment team of the business development team of Northampton College. Having close contact with employers in the county to support their training and recruitment needs. Working with existing students and NEETS to support in their career progression.

You will manage the recruitment of employer apprenticeship vacancies. They will secure suitable apprenticeship placements for learners on full time programmes and NEETS within Northamptonshire in specific curriculum areas, namely: Engineering, Hairdressing, Care and Child Care, Hospitality and Catering, Warehousing, Business Administration, IT, Accounting and Customer Service. Although specific experience within these areas is not essential.

You will have experience of recruitment/customer service as well as excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.

Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
