Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Business Studies Teacher to work in a Secondary school in York. This is a full-time teaching role starting in January 2022 for the Spring Term and possibly beyond.

The role

The desired Business Studies Teacher will be working with pupils, with a wide range of ability levels. This role would be suitable for both NQTs and experienced Teachers but would require A Level experience. The ability to deliver Economics & Politics would be desirable but not essential for this role.

The school

This is a 'Good' school which has high standards and targets for its students to strive for. Situated in the centre of York city Centre, this school has fantastic transportation links. Teachers have the freedom to teach. They are encouraged to be as creative as possible. Similarly, students are confident enough to ask questions and to contribute ideas of their own. This produces a mature and mutually respectful learning relationship between teachers and students.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Business Studies Teacher, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Or have recent experience of teaching 11-18 year olds.

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Teachers.

• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.

• A level experience is essential

• Experience Teaching Economics & Politics is desirable but not essential

• A background working in Independent Schools
