Job overview

Exciting current challenge and scope for an enterprising future

Term time plus 5 weeks

This new role is emerging with the natural expansion of this successful 4-school multi-academy trust (MAT) in South London. This vacancy offers developmental opportunities for both qualified and trainee financial analysts, keen to work alongside an experienced CFO in Folio schools in the South Croydon and Wallington areas. The remit of this role will expand rapidly with over the next 3-4 years continued growth of the trust.

The MAT comprises an established, outstanding boys’ grammar with mixed sixth form, a primary school, a junior school and a brand new secondary phase, comprehensive free school: the last opened in 2018 and for which the building of a state-of-the-art £35M building project will be underway shortly. Additionally, two of the other schools have major refurbishments ongoing or planned, so experience of project budgeting would be an advantage, coupled with strong organisational skills, excellent time management and a collaborative communicator able to handle a wide variety of people. Responsible to the CEO and the Board, and working under the direction of the CFO, this role would suit an accounting professional with strong analytical skills, an eye for detail, with the ability to communicate across a range of levels and have a flexible approach to meet the fluctuating financial demands within the educational cycles.

Folio has a good reputation for training and career development, this newly-created role will offer ample scope for promotion through internal succession planning.
