Seva Education Recruitment Agency is a leading provider of recruitment services for educational institutions across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced CACHE Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team and work specifically in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Role and Responsibilities:

As a CACHE L3 Teaching Assistant in the EYFS, you will be an integral part of the early childhood education team, supporting the development and well-being of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in Lesson Planning: Collaborate with EYFS teachers to support the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities for children aged 3-5 years.
  • Supporting Individual and Group Learning: Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, reinforcing concepts and skills taught by the teacher, and ensuring their progress and development.
  • Observing and Assessing: Observe and record children's progress, behaviours, and achievements, utilizing appropriate assessment tools and sharing feedback with teachers and parents/guardians.
  • Promoting Social and Emotional Development: Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports children's social and emotional growth, providing guidance and modelling positive behaviours.
  • Safeguarding and Well-being: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children, following established protocols and procedures, and promptly addressing any concerns or incidents.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents/guardians, and other professionals involved in the children's care and education.
  • Supporting Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining a positive and organized learning environment, implementing behaviour management strategies, and promoting positive discipline techniques.
  • Personal Care: Provide support with personal care activities, including toileting, feeding, and dressing, as required, ensuring dignity, privacy, and respect for children's independence.
  • Resource Preparation and Maintenance: Assist in the preparation and organization of learning resources, materials, and equipment, ensuring they are age-appropriate, accessible, and well-maintained.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance knowledge of best practices in early childhood education and stay updated with relevant policies and procedures.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an Early Years setting, preferably within the EYFS curriculum.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of child development and learning theories relevant to the Early Years.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with young children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
