ABC Teachers is seeking to appoint a Campus Lead for a Specialist Creative College who are opening a base at a Cultural Venue, in the Stoke On Trent area   


£23,000 p.a. 


26 hrs pw (Term Time Only)

The role 


As Campus Lead you will be responsible for Leading and supporting a small team of Teachers and Learning Support and up to 15 students accessing Art, Design and Craft at a Specialist Creative College. 


You will manage the setting and lead on connecting locally for a rich and diverse learning experience. Experience of leading teams within education, coupled with a solid background in SEND would be beneficial for this stand out opportunity. 


You will be able to lead a team who educate, safeguard and support students, 


 (16 – 25 year olds) with additional needs including ASC and Neuro diverse students. 


This will require sustaining of strong partnerships with professional Local Authority teams and the Cultural sector.  


The role would be four days per week (26hrs) with the opportunity for more responsibility and promotion across the Midlands region for the successful applicant. 


The Specialist College for creative education has an alternative approach to education and supports additional/high needs routes to wellbeing, engagement and employment. Mindfulness to be respectful, responsible, safe and kind, are at the core of the college’s values. The successful Campus Lead will be Leading the first Midlands Campus, joining a fantastic North West team of teachers, SENCOs and Wellbeing Specialists to work together to support the needs of the young people. 


Requirements 


To be considered for the position of Campus Lead, you will: 


• Have some previous experience of leading teams in Education 


• Have a SEND background 


• be passionate and inspiring in leading a team and confident in leading and developing a new concept 


• Ideally have a comprehensive understanding of working with young people attributed EHCP’s for a Special Educational Needs, 


• Due to the nature of the role, suitable candidates will need to be confident as a designated safeguarding lead, following up any safeguarding issues or concerns when necessary and share appropriate information with external agencies involved in supporting the needs of the young person.
