Every day we improve the lives of thousands of young people, their families and communities through a relentless focus on caring and learning.

About the role

We now have an opportunity for a Care Home Administrator to join our close-knit team at Meadowcroft School and the Care Homes.

As our main Care Home Administrator, you will report to the Lead Administrator; where you will carry out a range of administrative and clerical duties. You will work closely with our Principal, Lead Administrator and the Head of Care to provide essential administrative support and offer excellent service to our homes. The role will be based mainly at the school site but there will be an expectation that you may have to travel to our care homes that are primarily based in South Yorkshire.

Your work will be very important and so attention to detail, accuracy and excellent customer service skills are essential.

As our Care Home Administrator, you will work 37.5 hours each week (Monday to Friday 7.30am – 3.30pm) with a 30-minute lunch break each day.

Who are we looking for?

Our Care Home Administrator Assistant will be key to our success and therefore we need an honest, reliable, trustworthy and incredibly friendly person to work with us and provide this vital administrative service for our homes. Excellent administrative skills, telephone manner, confidentiality and IT skills are also essential.

Engaging with our children and young people is also incredibly important to us and you must be willing to take a proactive approach, acting as an ambassador all at times and make sure the cogs keep turning for the school and homes

If you are looking for a role that will keep you busy and where you can play a key role in improving the lives of children and young people, we want to hear from you.

Welcome to Meadowcroft School

Meadowcroft school is based on four sites, The Lodge, The Gallery, The Hub and The Works, each providing very focused care for the children we support. All our children have complex social, emotional and mental health needs and many have additional severe learning and communication difficulties. Most of the children we care for have struggled to engage in formal education, so our job involves far more than simply providing an engaging and creative setting for them to learn in. We come alongside our children, take an interest in their lives and help them to overcome barriers that prevent them engaging in education.

The staff at our school know each child well enough to be able to set ambitious, realistic targets and put in place a structure of support to ensure they achieve them. Success looks very different for each child, so we take time to build personal plans and celebrate the progress they make.

When our pupils leave Meadowcroft, we want them to have secured the skills and confidence they need to find sustainable employment; developed interests and hobbies to keep them motivated; and learnt how to make and sustain healthy relationships. With these key skills, we know our children can be healthy, happy, successful adults.
