The Careers Advice Team would like to recruit a full-time Careers Adviser to provide support for Academies in delivering a programme of CEIAG which supports students to make informed careers choices enabling them to move successfully into good careers. You will work closely with the Federation Careers Consultant and the Careers Team to design, plan and deliver an informed offer for students across your allocated Academies. This will include structured curriculum projects, off site careers related activities and a centrally planned programme of events

Your opportunity

As part of the Federation central team you will work with a number of allocated academies based in the Essex area, providing Careers Advice and Guidance to students. Whilst based in Essex working with Harris academies, you will be required to occasionally travel to our head office in East Croydon for team meetings and events. The successful applicant must be willing to travel around the Essex area and be flexible with travel to East Croydon when required.

The role will involve working closely with the Federation Careers Consultant and the Careers Team to design, plan and deliver an informed offer for students. This will include careers interview, structured curriculum projects, off-site careers-related activities and a centrally planned programme of events.

  • You hold a Diploma in Careers Guidance or Qualification in Careers Guidance to Level 4 (essential)
  • You have experience of developing and delivering CEIAG within an education setting 
  • You have experience of successfully motivating students to plan and achieve their career goals
  • You are a good communicator with the ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of people.
