About Sir George Monoux College:
Monoux is a Sixth Form College for over 1700 students aged 16-19. We offer A Levels, vocational courses at levels 2 and 3, and GCSE resits. We are now in the top 10% of the country for the progress our students make from GCSE (this includes top 10% for disadvantaged students). 95% of our students advance to University or Apprenticeships, and 17% progress to Russell Group Universities. We are also growing, with a 10% increase in our student intake compared to last year.
About the role:
We are seeking to appoint a Careers and Employability officer to deliver Careers and Employer engagement at the College.
You will place students on work experience and provide careers guidance, resources and support to students. You will have experience and expertise delivering work placements. You will work closely to support the needs of students in specific pathways. A level of flexibility is required in order to balance the workload of work placements and Careers advice.
You will need experience with hands on delivery regarding placing students onto work placements and careers guidance. Lead by the Careers and Employability Lead, you will be responsible for a broad suite of Careers and Employability services including, work experience coordination, development of students’ employability skills, developing new external partnerships and to maintaining existing partnerships with businesses and other relevant organisations.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, have Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice or QCG and have recent experience working in a further education careers related role.
