We have an exciting opportunity for a Careers Assistant at our successful, well established maintained Academy. The post holder will provide efficient and effective careers administration, support the provision of information, advice and guidance (IAG) on careers and organise and monitor the Work Experience programme.  

We are appointing on 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday for people who have the ability to work additional hours during peak weeks of the year (using additional paid days) for example in July when we have our careers month and Year 12 work experience. 

To succeed in the role you will have: 

  • Experience of working in an administrative function, ideally in a careers environment or educational setting 
  • The ability to communicate effectively and form positive relationships with staff, students and other stakeholders 
  • A level 3 qualification with English and Maths at GCSE Grade C or equivalent 
  • NEBOSH/IOSH accredited qualification and First Aid at Work, or willingness to work towards these  
  • The flexibility to work occasional evenings
