Actual pro rata salary at starting point £21,069.87

(dependent on length of service)

The Academy is looking to appoint a Careers Education and Work Experience Officer to provide administrative support for key areas of the Academy’s CEIAG (Careers Education Information and Guidance) Programme. This role is critical in improving the outcomes and positive transitions for students at key points of their education. The successful candidate will also coordinate of the Academy’s Work Experience programme.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be tolerant, resilient and flexible with a capacity to work under pressure. They will be well organised, have good time management skills, an excellent telephone manner and a ‘can do approach’.

It is an exciting time to join Paignton Academy as we will join with the Thinking Schools Academies Trust in September 2023 who have a number of schools across Torbay and the South West which in the future, could lead to further roles and opportunities. We are a supportive school with a range of fantastic staff and superb students who will benefit from all that the post holder does.

The Academy is situated in Torbay and is part of the beautiful English Riviera. It is within easy reach of stunning beaches with golden sands, rolling countryside and Dartmoor. It is also a short drive away via new South Devon link road which brings a host of benefits including easy access to the City of Exeter and its surrounding areas.
