Careers Guidance Co-ordinator

Term time only

Permanent

Salary: Actual salary: £25,476 per annum

Up to 37 hours per week term time

This is an exciting new opportunity to lead on the delivery of careers advice and guidance at both Driffield School & Sixth Form and South Hunsley School & Sixth Form College.  This role will contribute significantly to a whole school approach to careers and employability in collaboration with school staff and external opportunity providers.  Responsibilities include delivering employer-led career learning activities for young people, as well as personal career guidance interviews and group activities.

We are interested in hearing from people who:

• Are enthusiastic and committed to working with young people

• Able to effectively network with colleagues in the trust and with external providers and businesses?

• Committed to equality of access to opportunities for all

• Willing to challenge stereotypes and raise aspirations relating to career opportunities.

Both schools are part of The Education Alliance, a growing multi-academy trust, currently consisting of South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College, Malet Lambert School, Driffield School and Sixth Form, The Snaith School, Hunsley Primary School, North Cave Church of England Primary School and Yorkshire Wolds Teacher Training.  We are here to make great schools and happier, stronger communities so that people have better lives.  We do this by always doing what is right, trusting each other and standing shoulder to shoulder and doing what we know makes the difference.  Doing what is right means always acting with integrity, in the interests of others and being honest, open and transparent.

As a trust, we value and prioritise the continuing development of our staff.  This comes in a variety of forms, through subject specific professional development delivered in department time, regular teaching and learning workshops, INSET days and through our close links with the Wolds TSA.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact either Mr Fisher (Assistant Headteacher) on 01377 253631 or Mr Gray (Deputy Headteacher) on 01482 631208.

The closing date for applications is 5 pm on Wednesday 5 January 2022.

The Education Alliance is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  Clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required prior to appointment.
