On behalf of IIF, Ada Lovelace Church of England High School is seeking to appoint a P-TECH West London Programme Manager (2-3 year contract).

We seek an experienced educator who could have a background as a CIAG Lead, Head of Computing Teacher, Head of Business Studies Teacher, an ICT or Computer Science Teachers - to lead the development of the P-TECH programme in West London on behalf of the global technology company. The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to delivering social mobility through education attainment, for young people from disadvantaged communities, along with the excellent hands-on management and delivery of the programme on the ground and will have the vision and leadership necessary to expand and develop the programme in West London and the UK.

A large global technology company has developed an innovative model of schooling, P-TECH (www.ptech.org), through which participating students acquire academic and vocational qualifications as well as work related learning to prepare themselves for when they leave school and/ or college at age 18/ 19 years, with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to successfully apply for entry level roles with employers seeking employees with STEM skills. 

The P-TECH programme is a partnership between schools, colleges and universities, along with employer partners. The P-TECH model of schooling is expanding globally, with over 200 schools already opened and continuing to open. This includes the first P-TECH programme in the UK, in Leeds, which became operational in September 2019.

Ada Lovelace CE High School

Ada Lovelace Church of England High School is a new 6-form-entry local comprehensive school for students aged 11-18.  The school opened in September 2018 and had a smaller intake (125 students per year) for two years while co-located at William Perkin CE High School in Greenford.  The school moved to its brand new permanent site in north Ealing in September 2020, and student numbers have increased to 196 per year group starting with this year’s Year 7.  The school now has three Year Groups (450 students), and will have 1,330 students when full.  Ada Lovelace is named after the Victorian pioneer of computing – the school has a specialism in digital technologies and will provide different routes from Year 7 in ICT and Computer Science as well as applications of Creative Media.  

The Twyford Trust

The Twyford Trust comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing.  The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community.  The Twyford Trust aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting, and embraces the Twyford School motto ‘Life in all its fullness’, encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well.  Supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the Trust is the overarching organisation which provides support for all Trust schools.  The Trust has a highly evolved common curriculum which has been devised by staff within the four schools. About Ada Lovelace Church of England High School

Ada Lovelace Church of England High School is the newest school in the Twyford CE Academies Trust having moved into its brand-new permanent site in north Ealing in September 2020. The school has now reached full capacity, educating just over 1050 students across years 7 to 13. Ada Lovelace is named after the Victorian pioneer of computing and has a specialism in Digital Technologies which has led to the launch of T-levels at the school in Digital Production, Design and Development as well as Laboratory Science. A new T-level in Accounting will be offered from 2025. Being part of the top-performing Multi-Academies Trust in the UK has enabled Ada Lovelace to achieve outstanding GCSE results with a Progress 8 score of +1.33 in 2023 and +1.4 in 2024. Whilst the school has a strong Christian ethos, its admissions policy is open rather than faith-based and the school is heavily oversubscribed.
