The Portsmouth Grammar School is a leading co-educational school located in the historic heart of Portsmouth.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and well organised administrator to work with the Head of Careers and Universities and the Head of Sixth Form to support pupils in a wide range of careers and university activities with particular responsibility for UCAS.

The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a high level of IT proficiency and will be able to work independently with flexibility and initiative to prioritise a busy workoad. Previous experience of working in an academic environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

The hours of work are 35 per week, term time + 15 days. There will be a requirement to work flexibly at busy times and to attend some evening events throughout the school calendar.

Early applications are encouraged. A DBS check at enhanced level will be required.

ISI Report 2022

During an ISI Inspection in late 2022 both the achievement of the pupils, including their academic development and the personal development of the pupils were found to be excellent - the highest possible classification. The Inspection also looked at the School’s compliance with the regulatory standards and requirements. PGS met all the standards required.
