Inscape House School is a non-maintained ASC specialist day school for children and young people aged 5 to 19 years. It is part of the Together Trust, a charity that has been providing care, education and support in the North West of England since 1870. The post holder will be a member of the Inscape House School and Post 16 provision on the Cheadle campus.
Purpose of the post
The post holder will be based at the Together Trust Campus and have responsibility for the day-to-day care and maintenance of Inscape House School buildings (full job description attached)
Key Responsibilities
To report to the School Business Manager of Inscape House School on an agreed weekly basis to discuss issues and to review recent work and plan work programme for the week.
To ensure that the school buildings are opened and closed as required, including the:
Opening of all buildings before the beginning of the school day and checking that lighting, heating and water supplies are satisfactory
Checking and securing all buildings at the end of the school day including windows and liaising with contract cleaners where appropriate
To complete daily checks to ensure cleanliness, safety and security of the premises. Taking appropriate action to deal with any issues, including liaising with key staff and the contract cleaning supervisor.
To receive deliveries and to distribute them to their proper locations.
To move and arrange furniture and fittings as required.
To liaise with Inscape’s administrative team with regard to the ordering and supply of basic personal hygiene materials.
To perform necessary administrative tasks as occasioned by the above duties (e.g. passing on delivery notes, time sheets, receipts, etc.).
To act as primary key holder for the buildings, attending the site as required by senior staff and/or the security service and liaising
