Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a flexible and committed individual to join our caretaking team. Duties will involve taking responsibility for site security, health and safety, general porter duties, preparation of classrooms and other areas of the Trust’s campus for lessons and meetings. You will be working alongside two other caretakers and reporting to the Head Caretaker.

We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills and enthusiasm who can relate well with staff, students and contractors. A flexible and approachable manner is essential. The core working hours (7.2 per day), will be between 6.00 am and 8.00 pm Monday-Friday plus, one hour for lunch. Working weeks will be organised via a rota system.

The Trust offers a generous annual leave package plus bank holidays, plus 5 days during the Christmas holiday period and membership of the local government pension scheme.

The annual salary will be Point 7 to Point 9 on the Sixth Form College Support Staff salary scale, depending on experience, currently £23,585 to £24,442 plus £3,082 London Weighting.
