Trinity Academy is a highly oversubscribed free school that opened in 2019. We are a values based community that focuses on the learning of all students and staff, that cares deeply for our young people and each other and that is committed to co-curricular enrichment.

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team committed to running and maintaining an outstanding new building. In August 2021, the school moved into a £24m new build with state of the art facilities. The school’s vision is that the building will become a central hub for the local community as well as generating essential income for the school. As such, the building is let out to a vast array of community groups in the evenings and at the weekends. You will join the Site Manager and another Caretaker in helping to maintain the building in its pristine state and oversee the community groups using the building out of school hours.

Applications are welcome from experienced caretakers or from practical people who have experience of maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, wiring. We are looking for a highly trustworthy and self-motivated individual who is happy to work on their own for much of the time. You will be passionate about maintaining the current state of the building and comfortable with carrying out a range of compliance checks. There may be opportunities for overtime.

We are committed to your professional development. As a growing school there is considerable opportunity for career development both within the school and across the Cathedral Schools Trust.

Please read further documents for further details about the role including the job description and person specification.

Please note that we will only consider applications through TES and will not consider CVs so please ensure that your supporting statement on the application meets the requirements of the person specification. We encourage you to be succinct and to restrict your supporting statement to no more than four pages in length.

Closing date: 17th April 2023
