Vision and ethos

All United Learning schools are linked by the shared aim of bringing out the best in everyone - pupils, parents, staff and the wider community. The successful candidate will also be able to develop a unique, school and community-specific ethos for Walthamstow Primary Academy to sit alongside United Learning's core values.

Location and building

Walthamstow Primary Academy is in the heart of Waltham Forest and situated adjacent to United Learning's Walthamstow Academy; a popular and oversubscribed secondary school.

The primary academy will benefit from a brand new school building, which is planned for completion during the next academic year. The building will be bright, welcoming and well-equipped to support the school's educational provision. The successful candidate will feed into the process of choosing resources that best suit the plans for the academy.

Curriculum

Walthamstow Primary Academy currently has one Reception class and one Year 1 class, with a new intake of 30 pupils due in September 2017. Once moved into the new building, we will become 2FE and will grow to a capacity of 420 4-11 year olds. As an all-inclusive school, the academy's places are open to children of all backgrounds and abilities.
