Mon to Thurs 10:00 to 18:00 (with a 30 minute break)

Friday 10:30 to 18:00 (with a 30 minute break)

We are looking to recruit, an organised and efficient Caretaker to join our highly effective Site team to provide an efficient and effective service to all staff and managers. It is a really exciting time to be joining the school as it is currently undergoing a partial re-build and the Site team are paramount in supporting the Senior Leadership Team and external contractors during this period of time.

Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as having the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines and varying workloads. 

Although experience of first line maintenance and caretaking in a similar education establishment would be advantageous, it is not an essential.  The successful candidate will need to provide a range of caretaking duties including security and supervision of the site and related equipment, and other caretaking duties including porterage, relocation of classrooms and offices, involving the manoeuvring of their associated furniture and equipment (appropriate specialist equipment is provided to assist), as well as cleaning and maintenance.  In addition, Caretaking staff are required to provide cover of lettings over the weekend on a rota basis and support during sickness absences and annual leave of team members.


The successful candidate will have:

 Ability to establish rapport and to maintain respectful and trusting relationships

 Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

 Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines

 Good problem solving skills and where possible carry out first line repairs

 A good understanding of Health and Safety, safeguarding and child protection 

 A commitment to equality and diversity and inclusion
