Salary: Grade 5, SCP6-9: £23,893 to £25,119 per annum pro rata

Actual salary: £9,686.35 10,183.38 per annum

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, reliable and committed caretaker to support and enhance our learning environment and oversee management aspects of the school site, ensuring a high level of hygiene and safety is maintained.

The successful candidate will be required to:

· Undertake general caretaking and maintenance duties, e.g. changing lightbulbs, repairing and replacing items around school

· Ensure internal and external areas remain tidy and safe.

· Advise and collaborate with the Headteacher to develop and improve internal and external areas of the school site.

The successful candidate will:

· Have excellent organisational skills

· Communicate well

· Have good teamwork skills and demonstrate the ability to be flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude

· Respect confidentiality and the potential sensitivities of working in a school, e.g., safeguarding and child protection
