LOCATION: St Mary’s Church of England Academy, Trinity Avenue, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7LR

HOURS: Monday - Friday 06.30am- 12.30pm, 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible

SALARY: SCP 2 - 4 pro-rata (£20,441 - £21,189 FTE depending on experience)

CLOSING DATE: 9.00am Wednesday 4th October

GENERAL INFORMATION:

St Mary’s Church of England Academy has an exciting opportunity for a new Caretaker.

We are seeking to appoint a flexible, conscientious and hands-on Caretaker at our Academy. This is a varied position which will include, but not limited to, property maintenance, health and safety, handyperson skills, manual handling, some gardening, helping the cleaning team and all the little (and big!) things it takes to ensure the smooth and safe running of the school.

All training will be provided, however, a good basic understanding of carpentry and plumbing will be an advantage.

The hours are structured to ensure that the school has appropriate site cover throughout the day. The proposed hours are 6.30am - 12.30pm Monday to Friday.

Occasional cover for lettings after school or Holiday clubs (by agreement). You will be a keyholder and may have responsibility for opening and closing the building on occasions.
