An exciting opportunity has arisen in the A Level department for a Casual A Level Physics Teacher to deliver 4 weeks of ‘Step-Up to Year 13’ with the current Year 12 cohort in June/July 2018 with potential extension into the autumn term from September 2018 onwards.
You must be an inspiring, dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic teacher with experience and a proven track record of delivering excellent results on AS/A Level Physics. You will have responsibility for preparation, delivery and assessment and will be required to produce high quality lesson documentation and resources.
You would be expected to work as part of the course team and support the curriculum leader and manager to improve learner punctuality, attendance, retention, achievement and success. You must have experience and knowledge of quality processes and procedures including internal moderation and will be expected to share best practice and resources with all staff in the department.
The role requires you to monitor and track the learner journey to ensure appropriate support is implemented to maximise learner achievement, success and excellent outcomes for all learners. You will have a solution focused and positive work ethic and will be required to be flexible in your approach with a ‘can-do, will-do’ attitude.
You should have excellent communication and ICT skills, be highly organised with excellent time management skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. The successful applicant will have a related degree level/ vocational qualification in the curriculum area.
