We are currently looking for lecturers to support in the School of Media and Performing Arts
The School of Media and Performing Arts offers a wide range of programmes from Level 1 to Level 3 which includes the specialist areas of Music (performance and production), Performing Arts, Media and Journalism, In addition the School offers Higher Education programme pathways in the specialism of Music Performance, Music Production and Performing Arts. The School has good and established links with employers and the awarding bodies with a high level of progression opportunities to higher education and employment.
We are seeking a Bank Main Grade Lecturer in Music Performance and Music Production to work with our existing team across our Further Education courses. The successful candidate should have a recognised teaching qualification and have experience of teaching across Music Performance and Music Technology courses. Specific subject areas include rehearsal skills, music theory, history of music and production and recording of music.
The School aspires to achieving excellence in teaching and learning through innovative and excellent practice within an exciting and developing specialist subject area. All staff are expected to create effective and stimulating learning opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. The School requires that staff must be able to teach a range of specialist skills including the use of traditional and current relevant and current industry practices in Music and Music Production. The staff team are dedicated and contribute to the overall success of the School of Media and Performing Arts.
As a bank worker you would be expected to be aware of national developments in the subject area and to plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons in order to achieve effective management of the learning process in addition to the assessment, tracking and recording of student progress.
