Job overview
Smithdon High School (part of West Norfolk Academies Trust) is seeking to add to its existing team of invigilators to protect the integrity of examinations, helping to ensure optimal exam conditions for all students and to uphold and safeguard the regulations and requirements of the relevant examining bodies.
This post is CASUAL, there are no fixed hours/weeks.
Scale D, Point 6, £11.39/hour Please hours will be paid on submission of a time sheet.
Working hours will normally fall between 8:00am and 5:00pm. It may be necessary to work out of normal working hours.
West Norfolk Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and the post holder will share this responsibility, therefore appointments are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check with barred list. Shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search.

Under our current Headteacher since September 2022, we are building to become a truly great school – with our best GCSE results ever in the summer of 2023 and achieving a “Good” Ofsted (“good” in all areas) in November 2023. Although we boast a wide range of modern resources and facilities, our main building was the birthplace of the Brutalist style of architecture in Britain and enjoys the protection of being Grade 2* listed. Plans are currently developing under the Government’s Schools’ Rebuilding Programme to modernise and repair the building while keeping the importance of its heritage.
