About the Role

Salford City College require a motivated, pro-active and suitably qualified Trainer/Assessor to deliver and assess in our gas centre.

Primarily training and assessing on ACS, gas foundation and commercial short courses with the opportunity to support apprentices where needed. As a gas centre trainer/assessor your focus will be to support candidates to achieve certification for domestic and non-domestic gas, LPG, water regulations, unvented hot water and service pipe and meter housing.

You will be joining a team of people who are committed to supporting candidates to achieve outstanding outcomes in a fast growing and evolving sector.

You will be responsible for developing the appropriate knowledge and skills to enable plumbers and gas engineers to successfully meet the gas safe register certification requirements. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in assessing gas qualifications with experience of teaching or training and using digital learning technology. In addition, you must have experience of engaging with employers and in supporting candidates to achieve excellent results. The successful candidate will ideally possess an assessor award (D32/3, A1or CAVA), an approved training qualification and IQA (D34/V1or AIQA) award.
