Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW operating 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and eight Early Learning Centres.

About the Role

As a Casual Receptionist and Administration Officer, you will be responsible for greeting visitors and delivering exceptional customer service. This involves answering calls and directing them accordingly, addressing visitor enquiries, and providing an overall welcoming environment.

In this role you will complete adhoc administration tasks as needed to aide in the day-to-day activities of reception, as well as providing administration support to the wider office. You will have sound administration skills and experience, be able to manage competing priorities and communicate with stakeholders seamlessly.

Key responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors in a friendly and respectful manner
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and of calls received
  • Perform administrative tasks as required
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Recruitment team as needed
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of staff ID photos and passes
  • Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and filing where

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, interpersonal and client relationship skills with a passion for looking after clients, demonstrating a professional demeanor and approachable nature.
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office 365
  • A proactive and problem-solving nature
  • High level attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality
  • High school diploma with additional specialised training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated experience as an administrator
  • Current WWVP card or the ability to obtain
