The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to be part of our hard working and fast paced Catering Team at Priestmead Primary School. Assisting in the preparation of food, serving and supporting the day to day running of the kitchen. There may be opportunity for additional overtime hours and the chance to work across the Trust and academies.

The Person

Experience working in a child focus environment or similar role

Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification or similar highly desirable

Hardworking, conscientious, friendly, supportive member of staff

Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in food hygiene and service, ensuring a safe and clean working environment, as well as attention to care and detail

Model positivity, passion and show a commitment to going above and beyond

Work under pressure to meet the preparation and serving within the set time frames

Be committed to teamwork through valuing all team members and being committed to effective communication

Treat pupils and staff with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a member of staff’s professional position

Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

Our Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share that commitment. Appointment to the post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and background check. References are taken up before interview unless specified differently. In accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education, the Trust will carry out an online search as part of the due diligence on shortlisted candidates. There is a requirement for appointed staff to obtain criminal records checks or a letter from a professional regulating authority from all countries lived or worked abroad in for 3 months or more.
