About the Role

An opportunity has arisen within the Hospitality department at Worsley College for a catering technician. The College is the home to the Glasshouse restaurant, an outstanding training facility that has a wonderful reputation within the local and wider community.  

You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and have relevant experience within the industry relating to food operations. As one of our technicians you will emphatically support all students studying their catering qualifications in relation to providing a clean, safe environment for them to learn new skills and practices. You will work closely with the teaching team to ensure that all skills kitchens have the necessary commodities and equipment to enable outstanding learning. This is a hands-on role and does involve the deep and light cleaning of the kitchens and facilities within. You should have at least a basic knowledge of food and particularly its safe storage, allergen profile and labelling of products for retail where applicable.
