Gresham’s offers a rare opportunity where children can join us at our Nursery and Pre-Prep from the age of two and continue with their education at our Prep and Senior Schools to 18. We are currently recruiting for a School Staff Instructor (SSI) to join our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) team. Working under the Contingent Commander, the SSI would have responsibility for the administration of the CCF and liaison with the MOD and CCF officers and staff in the effective provision of logistical support, for a busy CCF programme comprising of activities for the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Sections.

The successful applicant will be well organised and energetic with a passion for working with young people. Previous experience of military service and working with cadets is essential. An awareness of MOD and Cadet regulations, as well as a range of qualifications in military and adventurous training activities, is desirable, however there will be opportunity for the successful candidate to add to their qualification portfolio through additional courses and training. A driving licence, including minibus and trailer categories, essential.

About Gresham's School

Gresham’s is a co-educational boarding and day school for children aged 2-18. It is situated in the Georgian town of Holt in beautiful countryside, just three miles from the breathtaking North Norfolk coast.

The school was founded in 1555 by Sir John Gresham who forged close ties with The Worshipful Company of Fishmongers. On his death, he left the school in their care and strong links with them and the City of London remain to this day.

The school enjoys a generous campus with excellent facilities including a state-of-the-art music building (Britten) with its own recording studio, indoor and outdoor performance spaces including a theatre (Auden), multi-surface sports pitches, tennis courts, swimming pool, sports hall and shooting range. The Dyson Building opened at Gresham’s in September 2021. Sir James Dyson, a former pupil at the school, enabled the innovative new centre for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) education.

The school has an impressive list of Old Greshamians including the composer Benjamin Britten, the poet WH Auden, Oscar winning actress Olivia Colman and international rugby players Tom and Ben Youngs, to name but a few.
