Following the retirement of our founding CEO, we are looking for an outstanding individual who will be responsible for the articulation and effective delivery of the Trust’s vision and strategy. The individual will uphold the values of the Trust whilst continuing to develop an inspiring and supportive organisational culture. The delivery of an exceptional education within our Trust schools and the maintenance of a sustainable, positive financial position for the Trust are both central to the role.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A strong track record in successful leadership of a school, including the delivery of an outstanding education for pupils whilst providing excellent development opportunities for staff.
- Experience and understanding of the nuances of working within a trust.
- Strategic leadership credibility, with the ability to engage and lead an organisation in a way that is authentic, collaborative, and robust.
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of financial management and operational systems to ensure the sustainability at school and trust levels.
- A proven ability to work with the Board of Trustees, Local Governing Bodies, Headteachers and others to continue to deliver the Trust’s vision whilst demonstrating commitment to our values.
- Knowledge of the education sector and of key issues affecting the local and national landscape.
- A passion for education and the role our schools play in challenging and improving the opportunities and outcomes for our pupils.
- The ability to network and engage at a local and national level for the benefit of the Trust.
- An understanding of the impact our schools and Trust have on our children, families and local community.
The role provides a very real opportunity to influence the focus and lead the strategic direction of our expanding Trust. The new CEO will be supported by a strong, committed Central Team, Board of Trustees and Members, whilst at school level we have a strong governance structure and highly skilled Headteachers.
