Job overview

The Raleigh Learning Trust was established on the 1st of April 2017 and at its launch included Westbury School and Woodlands School, in Bilborough, with the Denewood and Unity Learning Centres. Ambleside Primary Academy joined the Trust on 1st February 2018.

The Multi-Academy Trust is founded on a straightforward moral imperative to ensure that every child for whom we hold responsibility has access to the highest possible standards of teaching and learning, supported by strong staff teams equipped with outstanding resources. Our core aim is to deliver remarkable and memorable learning experiences to enable all of our children as individuals to develop the skills, confidence, resilience and resourcefulness they need to thrive and succeed as young people and become purposeful citizens in the future within their own communities.

The role of Chief Executive at Raleigh Learning Trust offers a fascinating blend of strategic and operational responsibility. The role combines vision and delivery, shared responsibility alongside accountability and communication, engaging with as wide a stakeholder group as you are likely to meet.

As such, the role will suit a leader who likes to be hands on, shaping and setting the direction, but also getting into school to see things in practice. Most likely you will be bringing leadership experience from a school setting, as an executive or system leader from a trust or federation.

Whatever your background, you will find at Raleigh Learning Trust a committed, professional central team and a talented group of academy principals, middle leaders, teachers and support staff.

We welcome enquiries and are happy to arrange informal, confidential discussions or visits to the trust.  Should you be interested in either of these options please contact Claire Beardsall on 0115 9155734 or at claire.beardsall@raleighlearningtrust.co.uk

Further details are available from our website www.raleighlearningtrust.co.uk.

Closing date:  Friday 30th November 2018 Midnight
Shortlisting: w/c Monday 3rd December 2018
Interviews: w/c Monday 17th December 2018

The Raleigh Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
