CEO/PRINCIPAL
The College
Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion operate as the College of Choice for learners in South West and Mid Wales. We offer Further Education, Work Based Learning and Higher Education across seven campuses in the counties of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. At all times we put our learners first and our code of excellence is at the heart of all we do. We are an inclusive college, with a strong bilingual ethos, with over 10,000 learners accessing a broad vocational and academic curriculum and who successfully progress to employment or further study across the UK and Internationally.
The College is part of the University of Wales: Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) Group, a dual sector University, incorporating further and higher education, improving opportunities for learners at all levels across the region. The College’s current turnover of £40m makes up one third of all group income. The College delivers a broad commercial portfolio including a successful working dairy farm which hosts cutting edge research activity notably linked to animal health and agricultural sector developments. We are extremely proud of our diverse and extensive range of partnerships which enable us to deliver our provision in an innovative and resilient manner.
The Role
Our current CEO/Principal has achieved outstanding success during his term in office and has recently accepted a senior post in the UWTSD Group. We are therefore seeking a successor who will continue to deliver extraordinary leadership for the College within a dynamic group environment.
You will be a notable professional in your field with a track record of delivering excellence in post compulsory education and training.
With learner outcomes at the core you will be at ease as much in political landscape and commercial activity as in Education.
You will be an outstanding leader with an appetite for growth, the ability to build partnerships at all levels and command significant respect across the post compulsory education sector. You will have a critical understanding of sector demands and future trends and the commercial expertise to harness diverse income streams to ensure ongoing resilience.
