The Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Company is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer on a permanent full time basis, to support all schools in the MAC but whose main location for work will be St. Benedict’s Catholic High School.
The core purpose of the role will be to lead and support the finance aspects of all schools in the Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Company (MAC). The MAC includes:
St. Benedict’s Catholic High School, Alcester, St. Gregory’s Catholic Primary School, Stratford upon Avon, St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Broadway, St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Evesham, St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Henley, Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School, Alcester and the Cotswold Teaching Alliance
The Chief Finance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the MAC operates good financial governance in line with the requirements of the Academies Financial Handbook. The role will involve liaising with the Department for Education (DfE), the EFA, external auditors, internal audit, and other external advisers, suppliers and contractors. This is a senior management post and the post holder needs to be responsive and proactive in the context of strategic priorities. The CFO will contribute to the development of a three year strategic business plan ensuring objectives are linked to the overall long-term financial plan of the MAC and will be required to attend MAC board meetings and relevant sub committees.
The successful candidate will have:
- A professional qualification in accounting
- A proven track record in effective budget preparation and control
- Strong decision making skills with the ability to make decisions and recommendations based on the analysis of options
- Experience of working with the auditors
- Experience of contractual negotiations

St Benedict’s Catholic High School is a mixed, mainstream, Roman Catholic secondary school in Alcester, Warwickshire. It caters to students aged 11 to 18 and has approximately 851 pupils enrolled.
St Benedict’s Catholic High School was founded in 1963 as a voluntary-aided school administered by Warwickshire County Council and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham. The school is named after Saint Benedict of Nursia, the patron saint of Europe and students.
A purpose-built £6m sixth-form building was opened in September 2011.

St Benedict’s Catholic High School strives to "encourage, support and inspire young people and the wider school community in the journey of faith". It aims to create a family environment where everyone is valued and respected. Teachers work hard to support the intellectual, creative, physical, spiritual and religious development of every pupil.
St Benedict’s provides a broad curriculum that includes English, maths, science, Spanish, history, computing, geography, technology, art, music and PE, as well as RE. Pupils in Years 7 and 8 take part in a Curriculum Carousel where they take subjects such as dance and drama.
The secondary school organises educational visits to places around the country and abroad, and creative activities such as school plays and poetry recitals.
