The Governors of George Heriot’s Trust seek to appoint a new Chair of the Board to succeed Mr Sandy Paton, who is retiring after 20 years of valued service to the Board.

Our school is one of Scotland’s foremost schools with an enviable reputation for its high academic standards, supportive pastoral care and extra-curricular life.
The Chair provides inclusive leadership to the Board of Governors and works closely with the Principal, acting as an ambassador and the public face of the school.
