We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Organist within the Music Department at Stowe School as we recruit for a Chapel Organist for September 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional individual who has a music degree or similar professional qualification or is an Organist of ARCO standard or equivalent experience.

The role of Chapel Organist is to accompany school services and support and attend choir rehearsals. You will play the organ at each School service and assist the Director of Choral Music in Choir rehearsals. Additionally, you will participate in the training of music theory to singers, scholars and exam classes. You will be expected to take part in choir tours, broadcasts, concerts, recordings as part of the wider school music offering as and when they occur.

You will share in the administrative workload of the Music Department so good organisational and communication skills are essential as is an ability to work to deadlines within a fast paced and thriving music department. You will be passionate and enthusiastic about Music and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others in the School environment.
