Bancroft’s, one of the country’s leading co-educational day schools, are looking forward to welcoming a dedicated and passionate candidate, who will play a vital role in nurturing the spiritual and pastoral life of our school community.

Bancroft’s School is a Christian foundation dating back to 1737, which welcomes pupils of diverse faith backgrounds and beliefs. As a community that values inclusivity, respect, and spiritual growth, we seek to appoint a Chaplain who will provide pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and support to our students in a multi-faith environment. The Chaplain will work closely with staff and students to foster an atmosphere of faith, inclusivity, and moral development in line with the ethos of the School. We embrace a holistic approach to education and all staff are expected to contribute to the wider life of the School.

The Chaplain may teach an academic subject and is likely to play an active part in the co-curricular life of the School. The Chaplain’s role embraces the whole Bancroft’s community, pupils, staff, parents and former pupils. The Chaplain will also seek to establish relations with local clergy and faith leaders.
