Blending proud heritage with bold ambition, Queen’s College Taunton is a thriving co-educational independent school in Taunton, Somerset. Founded in 1843, the College has grown into a vibrant all-through community comprising Nursery, Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior School, alongside a high-achieving Sixth Form.

At Queen’s, education is about far more than results. Our aim is simple but powerful: to help every pupil discover their strengths, exceed their expectations and Learn For Life.

From the earliest years through to Sixth Form, our pupils benefit from an education that is ambitious, individual and deeply supportive. Small classes, passionate teachers and a culture of encouragement ensure that every child is known, valued and challenged to be their very best. Academic success matters and our pupils achieve excellent outcomes, but it is only one part of the rich, all-round education we provide.

Our classrooms are places of curiosity, creativity and confidence. Teaching at Queen’s is innovative and imaginative, designed to spark ideas, encourage independent thinking and inspire pupils to explore beyond the boundaries of exam specifications. Across sport, the creative arts, outdoor education and more than 100 co-curricular activities, pupils develop resilience, leadership and a lifelong love of learning.

At the heart of the College is a strong sense of community built on shared values, mutual respect and genuine care. We believe children flourish when they feel safe to take risks, make mistakes and discover how they learn best. Within this supportive environment, pupils grow into thoughtful, confident and resilient young people ready to make a positive contribution to the world around them.

For talented and committed teachers, Queen’s offers a place where you can truly make an impact. You will join a welcoming, collaborative staff community united by a shared commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
