Carmel College is a sixth form college with an outstanding national reputation for the quality of its provision. In recognition, it has been awarded both Beacon and Accredited status and has played a significant role in the dissemination of good practice. It welcomes approximately 1900 16-19 year old students, and over 200 HE students studying a range of courses.
We are seeking to recruit for the following position:
- Required as soon as possible. The College is seeking to recruit a new member of the team following the retirement of our long serving Chaplain who has made a tremendous contribution to the College and its Catholic ethos. The successful candidate will be a practising Catholic.
The Chaplain is a key member of staff who works across the whole College: students and staff but particularly with the General RE and pastoral teams. He or she will report directly to the Principal. Key responsibilities include supporting students and staff, preparing and leading services and celebrations and contributing to the General RE programme. The successful candidate will also organise charity work.
CONTRACT: Established
HOURS: Full Time, working 36 Hours per Week, Term Time Only, plus 2 additional weeks.
SALARY: Support Staff, Band 9
Point 38 - £29,961 (44.8/52 x £29,961) = £25,812.55 payable per annum), to Point 40 - £31,530 (44.8/52 x £31,530) = £27,164.31 payable per annum)
