Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic, talented teacher to join our Science Department. You will have a passion for learning and teaching in Chemistry to A level, together with the skills to inspire and motivate our students.

Our students enjoy Chemistry and make good progress at all key stages. We achieve outstanding GCSE results.

AKS Lytham is a friendly school from Nursery to Sixth Form, committed to achieving the highest of standards in all aspects of its educational provision.

AKS Lytham consistently combines excellent GCSE and A level results with award winning art, drama and music, truly inclusive sport, and one of the most successful Duke of Edinburgh Award programmes in the county.

AKS Lytham provides high standards of teaching, outstanding pastoral care, and a wide co-curricular programme, in a magnificent and historic building with a stunning aspect over the Ribble Estuary and Irish Sea. Formed from the merger of Arnold and KEQMS in 2012, our school has over 300 years of respective heritage. Our pupils are highly motivated, hardworking, well-mannered and a pleasure to teach. Indeed, one of the most enjoyable aspects of teaching at the school - and one often commented on by new members of staff - is the happy and respectful relationship between teachers and pupils.

AKS has recently become full global members of Round Square https://www.roundsquare.org with 180 school in 50 countries. We seek to use these new relationships to expand internal educational opportunities across the curriculum.
