Job overview

Healing Multi-Academy Trust is a thriving, successful cross-phase (3-18) Trust of nine schools in Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. With one secondary in each of Lincoln and Grimsby, and seven primaries across the two local authorities within greater Lincolnshire, we are also particularly proud to host both a highly-regarded teaching school, and a School Centred Initial Teacher Training centre (SCITT). As one of the longest established trusts in the country, our reputation is for sustained achievement and improvement, a genuine dedication to the children and communities we serve, and the highest professional aspirations for our future teachers. The Trust belongs to all of us: we appreciate and respect the distinctive nature of each of our schools, while holding a strong shared vision of excellence.

We’re looking for an exceptional leader to join us as our new Chief Executive. With an absolute commitment to giving learners the very best start in life, and a clear grasp of the potential for academy trusts, you’ll be able to articulate a clear and compelling vision for how we can build on our strong track record, as well as shaping a meaningful future in what are now very changeable times. Balancing attention to detail with strong strategic planning skills, you’ll work closely with our highly capable and experienced Board to develop and implement a clear roadmap for the next phase. Credible with colleagues at all levels, particularly headteachers, you’ll understand the complex set of relationships within which academy trusts operate, and will be a confident and effective ambassador throughout our networks of influence.

While it’s likely that strong candidates will have senior education leadership experience, we would also welcome interest from other sectors. All candidates must bring a powerful and compelling vision of how our schools can change lives, individually and collectively, and will want to lead in a context which prizes and respects shared values. With the professional and personal experience to engage colleagues, peers, parents and stakeholders alike, you’ll be a crucial part of ensuring that everyone in the Trust is proud to say we’re part of the Healing MAT.
