Fylde Coast Academy Trust (FCAT) is a successful, well-established and financially sustainable Multi Academy Trust committed to promoting excellence in teaching, learning and leadership. With central offices in Blackpool, the trust's 10 academies are spread across the greater Fylde peninsular area of Lancashire, serving a very varied to socio-economic landscape.

Our current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is retiring at the end of August 2020 and we are now seeking to appoint a successor to lead our trust to further development and achievement.

In the six years since the trust was formed, we have had great impact in improving experiences and outcomes for children and colleagues across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Boroughs, but there is still even greater progress to be made. This will provide a rich and rewarding leadership challenge for our next CEO. We want to see each of our schools rated as Good or Outstanding, we want the trust and our culture to grow and to continually develop as a great place to learn and work.

We are therefore looking for an inspirational leader with vision and imagination who is able to quickly understand the trust, its culture and values, to build relationships and influence others. The CEO would work closely with the board in setting and driving the strategy.

Education or CEO experience is not essential however, the successful candidate must demonstrate ability to successfully lead a multi-disciplinary organisation and drive its growth and development.

They need to be highly effective at managing and developing staff as well as achieving performance improvement across diverse teams. The candidate would also evidence experience of strategic planning, managing large budgets, delivering creative solutions and identifying and implementing education opportunities.
