Job overview
The Invictus Education Trust is seeking an inspirational Chief Executive Officer, following the retirement of the current post holder, Mr Andrew Griffiths OBE.
The Trust has a very clear and particular vision for its schools. We are highly aspirational for our students, and the concept of improved social mobility lies at the heart of what we do. It may seem crudely competitive but we want to give any school in the country, including the independent sector, a “run for its money”. We do this by enhancing the individual pupil’s experience, whether this be joining one of our three Army Cadet Forces, sailing (an Invictus team is going to the Byte World Championships), performing at Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre, or STEM work with RAF Cosford.
Trust schools work together towards this common vision, under the banner “Independent-minded education”. However, they are not clones: each has its distinct identity and an ability to reflect and respond to its own local circumstances.
