Job overview

Do you have a passion to deliver high quality Catholic education in our Trust?

Loving Care - Learning Together - Growing in Faith

The St John the Baptist Catholic Multi Academy Trust is a family of schools in Norfolk, Suffolk and Peterborough and our distinctive ethos is founded on the Gospel values of faithfulness, humility, truth, forgiveness, tolerance, dignity, service and respect. The Trust was established in 2016 by, and is accountable to, the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia. The Trust has one High School in Norwich and nine primaries that spread from the Norfolk/Suffolk coast to Peterborough.

This is an exciting time to join the Trust. Over the next few years the Trust will be going through a period of growth and expansion, welcoming new schools from the Diocese as they are ready and able to join. The CEO will be responsible, working closely with the Diocese, for managing that period of expansion in a planned and controlled way so that it does not negatively impact the schools already within the Trust. The CEO will also work closely with the CEO of our sister Trust, Our Lady of Walsingham, to ensure we are delivering the highest standard of education and maximise opportunities for young people across the whole Diocese of East Anglia.

The values which guide us all as children and adults:

Loving care - forgiveness, empathy, inclusion, kindness, compassion

Learning together – growing, leading, aspiring, enabling, understanding

Growing in faith – Christ at the centre, service, stewardship

The successful candidate will be an outstanding strategic leader able to develop and articulate the vision, values and ethos of the Trust and will empower others to do the same. Already an experienced leader with a track record of success, you will be a practising Catholic bringing a track record of effective change management and ensure a culture to form a successful trust aspirational for all its pupils, staff and families. You will be able to demonstrate extensive staff development experience and expertise. Most importantly you will have a passion for education and children’s learning, with the determination to make a positive difference and commitment to continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will know how to maintain and deliver systemic rigour across the breadth of a multi academy Trust or similar large organisation, achieved through collaborative working and the nurturing of a high-performance culture through all key strategic stake holders.

This position represents an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional Catholic leader to make a positive impact on our schools and our communities.
