Diverse in name and diverse in nature
Due to the retirement of the present CEO, the Trustees of Diverse Academies Trust are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic leader as Chief Executive Officer for their highly successful Trust.
Diverse Academies was founded in 2011 – when the National Church of England Academy and Tuxford Academy formalised their longstanding collaborative partnership. The Trust has grown since to 14 academies across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, with over 8,500 pupils and students – and over 1,000 employees, covering all phases of education, and in mainstream, special and alternative, post 16 provision settings. As the name of the Trust states, the Trust’s academies are diverse in name and diverse in nature, which is an important distinction for the Trust.
As CEO you will exemplify the values and ethos of Diverse Academies Trust and its commitment to delivering excellent teaching, exceptional care and an outstanding performance. Inclusive collaboration across a diverse portfolio of academies is fundamental to the Trust’s vision and values. You will have the determination and entrepreneurialism needed to lead the schools, representing the Trust’s values and vision, deepening effective collaboration between schools and leading an inspirational further development strategy for the MAT.
Applicants for the post will be able to evidence experience of operating at a senior executive level within an education environment or will be from those sectors working with the education/public sector where you have a strategic knowledge of the challenges of leading complex multi-stakeholder organisations.
You will have had experience of reporting to Board members, be able to demonstrate sound financial management skills combined with the ability to build collaborative and strategic partnerships, maximising the opportunities available to the Trust.
As a highly skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to engage credibly and successfully build, lead and further develop key relationships both within the Trust and externally, locally and nationally.
The successful candidate will be an ambitious and forward thinker, who will bring the drive, inspiration and commitment to lead the vision for the Trust and its stakeholders.
This is a remarkable opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Trust at a very exciting time. As the Trust develops we require a dynamic and innovative leader who shares our ambition and commitment to excellence.
