Job overview

Ref No: HLP/16/14614

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role within a new team and lead the development of the newly formed Multi-Academy Trust, the Harbourside Learning Partnership.

The Harbourside Learning Partnership was launched on 1st July. This new Multi-Academy Trust was founded by a group of six Junior, Primary and Infant schools from Poole with the aim of working together in close collaboration. All of the schools within our Partnership are judged as good or outstanding and enjoy a strong reputation within the community they serve. The Headteachers, Governors of the schools and the MAT Trustees are excited about the new direction that our schools are taking together.

The Board of Trustees is now looking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic vision and dynamic leadership to ensure the Harbourside Learning Partnership develops and flourishes. The role is broad as the CEO is responsible for all aspects of the operation and performance of the Trust both educationally and financially. The CEO will therefore need to be someone with a strong reputation as a leader in an educational context; experience of successfully facilitating continuous improvements in schools; and someone who can build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

The CEO will lead the Partnership’s Central Team (which currently includes a Partnership Business Manager and an Admin Officer); will line manage the Headteachers within the partnership; and will Chair the School Improvement Board.

Further information on the vision for the Partnership, our Memorandum of Understanding and links to the schools in the Partnership can be found on the Trust’s website www.harboursidelearning.org.
