We are seeking an inspirational practising Catholic Education leader to join us as CEO of the St John the Baptist Catholic Multi Academy Trust - a family of schools in Norfolk and North Suffolk with a distinctive ethos founded on the Gospel values of faithfulness, humility, truth, forgiveness, tolerance, dignity, service and respect. The Trust was established by, and is accountable to, the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia.
Reporting to the Board of Directors and ultimately the Members, the CEO will be responsible for the operational effectiveness of the Trust and, alongside the Headteachers, for the educational success of the Academies within it.
The Chief Executive Officer will be the Accounting Officer of the Trust and will serve as an Ex-Officio Director on the Board. They will lead the Trust’s Executive Team, including line management of the Trust Business Manager and Company Secretary. The CEO will be part of the performance management of the Headteachers of individual academies.
The successful applicant will be an exceptional leader, creating a culture of constant improvement and committed to the highest achievement for all in all areas of the Academies’ work. They will work closely and collaboratively with the Trust Headteachers providing appropriate support and direct challenge, developing capacity through training and facilitation, managing risk and monitoring performance to mitigate potential future issues at the earliest opportunity, feeding into the development and implementation of the individual Academy strategic plans and school improvement policies. The CEO will work closely with external and internal school improvement advisors to ensure that each school has appropriate development plans in place, effectively delivering the desired improvement outcomes.
